About us

The Name of Trust: exporting from Yokohama since 2009

A family-run export business, not a marketplace. We own the stock we list, inspect it ourselves, and answer for it after it lands.

NS Japan Auto began in 2009 with a single unit shipped to Mombasa and a simple frustration: buyers overseas were quoted one price in an advert and a different price once freight was added. Sixteen years and more than four thousand vehicles later, that is still the problem we build around.

We buy at Japanese auction and from domestic trade-ins, inspect every unit at our Yokohama yard, and photograph it as it actually is. When you search our stock you set your destination port once and every price on the site becomes your landed cost: FOB, ocean freight, marine insurance and any pre-shipment inspection your country requires, in one figure.

We ship to twenty-two countries across East and Southern Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean and Oceania. We know which routes have age limits, which customs authorities are strict about inspection certificates, and which ports will hold a vehicle for a missing document. That knowledge is worth more to you than a slightly cheaper freight rate.

We are not the largest exporter in Japan and we do not try to be. We are small enough that the person who answers your WhatsApp message is the person who inspected your car.

How we work

One price, quoted properly

We publish the landed cost at your port, not a headline FOB figure that grows once you ask about freight. The number you see is the number on your invoice.

The car in the photos

Every image is of the actual unit, taken at our yard, scratches included. No stock photography, no representative images, no surprises at discharge.

Documents that clear cleanly

Bill of Lading, export certificate, invoice and inspection certificate, prepared correctly and couriered the week of departure. Bad paperwork costs you weeks at the border.

Answers, not silence

Our buyers are eight hours behind Japan or more. Someone replies on WhatsApp whatever time you send it, and if a vessel is delayed you hear it from us first.
