Importing a car from Japan to Malawi: common questions
- How much does it cost to import a car from Japan to Malawi?
- We quote the landed (CIF) cost at Malawi: the car's FOB price in Japan, ocean freight to the port, marine insurance (1.5% of the FOB price, at least $45), in one figure. Import duty, taxes and port charges in Malawi are not included: Malawi's customs authority sets them, and your clearing agent pays them at the port.
