• What you tell us: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, country and port, and the car you are asking about, from the enquiry form, email or WhatsApp. For a spare parts request, also your vehicle (its make, model and year, and the chassis number and engine code if you give them) and the parts you need.
• Your messages: what you write in the chat on this site (our assistant, Sara), on WhatsApp or by email, and voice calls if you talk to Sara.
• Reviews you write: your name, country, the car, your words and stars, and the photos and video you attach, if any, shown on this site once our team has approved them (photos are kept without their location and camera details, a video without the place it was recorded); and your email if you give it, which only our team sees, to follow up on your review. A review we hide or delete is taken off the site with its photos and video.
• When you buy: the details on your invoice and shipping documents (the buyer, consignee and notify party, with addresses), your payments, and any document your country's customs needs from you.
• On this site: the settings kept in your browser, and, only if you accept, analytics and advertising measurement. Our cookies page lists each one.

• To answer you, quote a car or the spare parts you ask for to your port, and send you photos and invoices.
• To buy, inspect, ship and document the car or the parts you order, and to take your payments.
• To keep the business records Japanese law requires.
• With your consent only, to see which pages and adverts help buyers, so we spend less on the ones that do not.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anything else.

Only who needs it to do their part, and only what they need:

• Shipping lines and forwarding agents, for the bill of lading and shipment.
• Inspection companies (such as JEVIC or QISJ), where your country requires an inspection.
• Banks, and Stripe when you pay a reservation by card. Card details go to Stripe directly; we never see or keep your card number.
• The services we run on: our customer-relationship (CRM) and messaging provider, the voice assistant (Retell), and the hosting, database and file storage of this site (Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare).
• Google and Meta, for analytics and advert measurement, only if you accept them.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these are outside Japan, and so are our buyers: sending your details abroad is part of shipping a car to you. We use services that protect them to a standard comparable to Japanese law.

Enquiries and parts requests for as long as we are talking about them, and up to two years after, so we can help you again. Records of a sale for as long as Japanese tax and trade law requires. Then we delete them.

You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, stop us using it, or have it deleted, where we are not required to keep it.
