Importing a car from Japan to Bangladesh: common questions
- How much does it cost to import a car from Japan to Bangladesh?
- We quote the landed (CIF) cost at Bangladesh: the car's FOB price in Japan, ocean freight to the port, marine insurance (1.5% of the FOB price, at least $45), in one figure. Ask for any car's price on WhatsApp and we send it. Import duty, taxes and port charges in Bangladesh are not included: Bangladesh's customs authority sets them, and your clearing agent pays them at the port.
- How long does shipping from Japan to Bangladesh take?
- About 24 days at sea from Japan to Chittagong (19 to 31 days, depending on the vessel and the sailing). Allow one to three weeks before departure for inspection and booking space on a vessel.
- Is there an age limit on cars imported to Bangladesh?
